Shelby Whippets, Friday, November, 24th, 2017, 7:30 pm, @ Akron University InfoCision Stadium.

Big Red will take on the Shelby Whippets for the 2nd year in a row in the post season.

The Whippets come in with a perfect 13-0 record and have mercy ruled all of their opponents with the exception of this past Friday Night.

Shelby's triggerman is the outstanding Brennan Armstrong, a Minnesota commit, who is a dual threat. The backfield returns Shorty Brooks, who has rushed for over 3,000 yards during his time at the school.

The Whippet D has been outstanding all season, only allowing more than one TD in 3 games.

Perry Pirates, Friday, November, 17th, 2017, 7:30 pm, @ Niles' Bo Rein Stadium.

Perry waited 350 days for a rematch with Big Red, but the results were the same.

Big Red used a stifling defense to hold the high octane Pirate offense to 194 yards total.

The offense was efficient, with Javon Davis connecting on 9 of 10 pass attempts for 137 yards, while the run game racked up 245 yards, led by Jake Bernard's 184.

Big Red finished with 19 first downs and controlled the clock for much of the night.

Big Red wrapped up the Region 13 title, the 5th in a row for the program, and now sets its sights on loftier goals.
